Golf, Vilamoura, Algarve has a selection of championship golf courses and below is a description of them.

The Oceânico Laguna Course, a par 72 course, was founded in 1990 with 18 holes and the Architect was Joseph Lee. It is on a low lying coastal terrain and has many lakes acting as water hazards, being very different from the other courses in Vilamoura. It used to be part of the former 27 hole Vilamoura III course and over the years has been improved to the course it is today.. It has been subject to continual improvements over the years. There is also a nature park not far from the course and has a lovely clubhouse.

The Oceânico Millennium Course, a par 72 course, was founded in 2000 with 18 holes and the Architect was Michael Hawtree. The original course has also been refurbished and was joined together with 9 new holes and now offers style and is more golfer friendly. The course is very open with lakes at the 4th, 17th and 18th holes. There is also a wooded area where the fairways need greater accuracy as you have to avoid the pine trees. The arrival of the Oceanico Millennium course made Vilamoura one of the main European golf destinations.

The Oceânico Old Course was founded in 1969 with 18 holes and the Architect was Frank Pennink. This course is one of the oldest in the region and is set amongst pine trees which are the main hazard. The course has been completely renovated and modernized, but the layout remains the same. There is also a new clubhouse and putting green and according to visiting golfers is a very memorable golf course.

The Oceânico Pinhal Course was founded in 1976 with 18 holes and the Architect was R. Trent Jones Jr. This was the second golf course built in Vilamoura and several refinements were incorporated over the years. The course has rolling parkland terrain with many pine trees lining the fairways with ponds and a stream. The clubhouse was completely renovated and modernised in 2000 and has panoramic views over the excellent driving range and practice facilities

The Oceânico Victoria Course was founded in 2004 with 18 holes (one of the longest in Portugal) and the Architect was Arnold Palmer. This course covers 90 hectares and is one of most sophisticated golf courses in Europe. There are plenty of water hazards and lakes and in addition there is an exceptional driving range and a putting green. This course is also a major venue for golf, Vilamoura, Portugal where they play top golfing tournaments.
